Dark Cloud was a pretty cool RPG. Action/RPG, but both the first and the sequel were pretty heavy on dialogue. I liked the "town building" feature where you could save the villagers and find objects in the dungeons to reconstruct the town. But hot damn, your namesake was a text heavy couple o' games, bub. Dark Cloud I was actually a launch title for PS2. I had it. Great game.
