This is gonna piss some people (men) off, I can already tell...

This is an excellent point and I think it demonstrates really well what people mean by "all men"

Even tho I love men as much as the next straight girl...bear for me, please

if there are any men out there who think they are one of the good ones then please understand this isn’t about you

But no man thinks they aren't "one of the good ones". The worst ones, in fact, are the least likely to be introspective enough for any sort of self-criticism in this direction. Rapists don't feel guilty about rape.

You can still be a “good one” but you will have to show it through your actions. And that includes holding other men accountable when they are in the wrong.

Here you're introducing a specific standard for being a "good one", more objective than leaving it up to the individual to classify themselves.

But let me put it bluntly: if being a man somehow makes it my duty to take particular care of other men's behaviour specifically because they're men - well, I refuse this bizarre, gendered moral duty. Morality is not gender-based.

If every man thinks they're one of the good ones then that part of the message still applies to them.

You're right, morality isn't gender based. I didn't say it excludes holding women accountable, i said it includes holding men accountable. It can include lots of things. Whatever your morality may be, live it. Don't just speak it.

But if you're cool with knowingly letting a man rape a woman, which is what my "includes" referred to, then feel free to say it explictly because you're bluntness really didn't make that clear for me.
