Last new Mac I bought was the 2006 Mac Pro. The first x86 tower. I still consider it a good value because it was modular and upgradable and I did do many repairs and upgrades to it over the 10 years I ran the thing. I wasn't impressed with the cylinder, so my next machine after that was a hackintosh and I'm still using the hardware form that even though I stopped dual booting when Apple dropped 32bit support.
