The government despite all it human rights abuses is what separate Iran from a functional state to a failed state

    Iran’s government has its problems, but its human rights abuses have been exaggerated by Western imperialist states & media for nearly 50 years, ever since their puppet regime was overthrown.

    Indeed and most of Iran's major problems are caused by West via the economic suppression of Iranians.

    The Iranians were protesting against their economic situation which is almost fully caused by Western sanctions.
