Whats your favorite book? EDIT: apologies I don’t respond to your recommendations but I highly appreciate the community hooking me up with good reads. Stay lit with literature. <3 (lemmy.world)

Need to get back into reading. Usually read horror literature and Russian works. But regardless, tell me your favorites !

I'd have two: 1st is a book that I'd recommend to read anyone, "1984" written by George Orwell And 2nd is a book that I would not recommend to read everyone, but I personally really really like, because it left an impression on me when I,ve read it: "So I'm a Spider, So What?" by Okina Baba, it just has all the moments that I'd like to see in a action adventure book at the time, a nice story, relatable mc, nice humor. Although ending kinda sucks so I js headcanon it.

Really liked the anime adaptation (aside from the wonky cgi), didn't consider looking into the og source though. Does the progression quality carry on throughout the light novel volumes?
