Hasan Piker on Mayor Zohran Mamdani and how Mamdani can leverage his popularity and outside forces like the DSA to potentially encourage Jessica Tisch to condemn the presence of ICE in New York City: "If Zohran Mamdani is a competent administrator, if he's a competent executive, he utilizes the unbelievable amounts of pressure coming from the outside to carve out a specific deal with Jessica Tisch, if he's not going to drop, which he probably isn't. If he was smart, he would use the outside forces, including the DSA, to his advantage to say, 'Look, I'm getting a lot of pressure. Your popularity is waning so you have to at least play ball with me here. You have to contest ICE activity. You can't actually defend ICE.'”

I never said anything about an anti-ICE cop, but it's not a binary between "champion of the Protracted People's War" and "subserviates literally everything about their career to enable ICE". Just someone engaging in the most basic enforcement of laws and policies to mitigate the PR problem while still not fundamentally challenging ICE is not a difficult cop to find if they understand that their job depends on them performing that task.
