American Catholics don't count. They're barely in communion with the vastly global south majority of the church already, and they keep pushing for protestant shit unaware of their own heresy.

I'm from Latam too and it really varies. Also the bar is literally on the floor with American Catholics. The Latam Catholics I've had experiences with at least don't hate poor people as much.

Anyway, I'm not gonna defend Catholics. Some of them are good people, many rural priests I've met are liberation theology pilled but at the end of the day they still support all the homophobic and transphobic shit the church does by being part of it.

I'm from Europe, the Catholics there aren't much better. At best they'll be "apolitical".

Idk I see a very clear difference between American and European Catholics. American Catholics keep trying to do protestant shit like personal relationship with God and rejecting ecumenicalism, while European Catholics will be reactionary but at least take church doctrine more seriously.

Maybe big C Catholics that actually do their research on their own religion, most people identifying as Catholic because they were born into it and just going through the motions will tend to be racist reactionary shits.
