What is the point of Lemmy if the comments are just gonna get removed bruh.

Useless thread

OP is the mod removing comments calling them out for their terrible takes. VOTE.

I think lemmy.world is probably worth avoiding in general. Consolidated power in one instance is no better than Reddit.

Or you could just not engage with communities whose rules you don't want to follow.

Saying "Republicans need you not to vote" being against the rules is absurd.

There's a context where that's fine and there's a context where that's supporting the Democratic party which is unambiguously against the rules of the community. Read the sidebar, understand the rules and the culture before posting. Lurk more.

I mean, the sidebar is pretty clear on what this comm is for and what is going to get deleted. The mod isn't exactly subtle; libs just keep not getting it.

Follow the rules and leave your political liberalism at the door and comments won't get removed

How about trying to explain your reasoning and try to get people to understand your perspective instead of insta-banning them and making them think that you are a dick and probably believe in things that dicks approve of.

This is not an education forum. This is a forum specifically for leftists. If you are leftist, you already have a position that is understandable in a leftist space. The problem is liberals that are not leftist coming into leftist spaces trying to co-opt them and neuter them to get us to support their right-wing candidates. All throughout the history of socialism and communism, dating back a few hundred years, the only ones that were allowed to participate in leftist spaces were ones that already understood the principles.

To join the Black Panther Party in the 60s, you had to be black and you had to be a communist that understood the principles of communism and have studied and researched it to a specific level. If you did not, you simply were not allowed in, You were allowed no input, you were allowed no influence, you just simply were not allowed in. So to enter leftist spaces you need to do the work to understand our position before you enter our space. Or be willing to learn by asking questions, not throwing demands at us.

I wish I could tag communities with Voyager. I'd use tags like "deletes a lot" and "women only" so I'll know to read only.

Unless he was an intentional troll/bot , then please let them talk and let us downvote or reply to prove them wrong. There are no Karma internet points in Lemmy

There are a million and one places where you can "hear both sides", and two million and one where our side is banned. We would like to have a one corner where we don't have to relitigate the same tired talking points for the millionth time. Are you really missing out on that much by not seeing another dozen comments calling anyone critising the democratic party a Russian bot?

Your side isn’t banned anywhere. Your side bans everyone else on hexbear and lemmy.ml. That’s where this community belongs, not on lemmy.world trolling normies.
