I means what it says. No pension for you. Invest in your 401K.

    Okay but "no pension after 5 years" implies that they get pension for 5 years then it gets cut off. So that's not pension, that's just 5 years of severance pay. But why did you say "No pension for you"?

    I interpreted it as "no qualifying for a pension after working at the same company for 5 years in a row". Before they were taken away, you usually had to work at a company for a certain number of years before you qualify.
