it means that the transition from evangelical child to edgy teen atheist to normal functional adult puts you at a crossroads much like the dichotomy presented in this meme. when i was 19 years old i did indeed have to choose whether to mock spiritual people, or "wrong" people in general. it was in fact a pretty witch who convinced me not to do this, and as a result i spent the next 10 years learning how to be normal to people who do not share one iota of my relationship with truth.
