Yeah its called Eurasia. Some Russians are quite fans of this kind of thinking.

    As a Russian, I'm always bewildered why everyone else seems to refer to Europe and Asia as separate continents. Like, y'all blind or something? Look at the map!

    And if you think it's about geology or something, nuh-uh. It's just a random convention coming from ancient perceptions, and it is heavily wrong. Eurasia is a single continent, and always has been.

    Basically the idea was that the mountains caused Europe to develop mostly separately from Asia.

    Tbh I always thought it was silly too. Continents have always been more vibes based than anything and unless we're reverse engineering Victorian race science I don't think there's a compelling argument.
