Don't let AI dictate the way you write!

We've all got a personal and unique typing style just as we do in our spoken language.

Have you ever been writing something and then thought to yourself, "fuck I kinda sound like AI", and then rephrase it?

I'm here to say fuck that shit, write how you want to! Don't let Sam Altman et al. dictate the fucking English language (or any language for that matter)!

If you're being accused of using AI it likely means one of five things:

  1. You just said something really fucking stupid.
  2. You just said something interesting enough that people assume you couldn't have known it.
  3. You made some shit up out of thin air
  4. You're arguing about AI with another AI
  5. You used AI cause your brain don't work so good on its own.

No matter what category you fall under, just own it. The internet is shitty enough, we don't need to be worrying about self-censoring for fear of being whipped by the cult of daddy Altman and granddaddy Huang.

OK, maybe the em dash is fucked, but we can't win 'em all!

Damn. I use the em dash all the time. LONG before LLMs. Also the Oxford comma, which, apparently, is also an "AI thing". Fuck it. I'mma keep using them, because it's grammatically correct.

The Oxford comma is the most wonderful, amazing, and incredible comma there is. I use it too!

Written language can be confusing without it.
"Please take your children, luggage, pillows and blankets."
Pillows and blankets are together here. This and that. A parenthetical, so to speak.
"Please take your children, luggage, pillows, and blankets"
The pillows and blankets are separate here. This and/or that.
Yes, Oxford commas are not required, but they make the sentence less open to interpretation.

Maybe those were bad examples, but you get it.
