Yeah buddy, I lived long enough around Italian-American reactionaries who were the most dependable enforcers of white privilege to find that laughable. My Black friends honestly had to look up some of the slurs the old men in Brooklyn would use for them without hestitation.

Italians were made white in America quite a while ago. Reminding people that want to enforce white supremacy that they were often not considered white isn't racism, it's pointing out that racism is bad to the people that most need to understand that.
