Hey everyone, I’m a beatmaker from Japan. Just wanted to share a new beat I’ve been working on lately. I tried blending a gentle Bossa Nova vibe with classic Boom Bap, and I’d really appreciate any thoughts or feedback you might have.

I hope you enjoy the chorus, I put a lot of heart into it.

I snapped that cover photo myself at Tennoji Zoo here in Japan.

Thanks a bunch, that means a lot! I love the radio sample idea definitely going to try weaving something like that into the next track.

Please post here again, I'd like to hear your explorations.

By any chance, are you familiar with the Ninja Tune label? They released a lot of instrumental hiphop back in the day, which is kinda in the spirit of your music, though more involved. E.g. Wagon Christ.

I’m actually quite familiar with Ninja Tune and Wagon Christ. Their early catalog has been a major source of inspiration for me, so drawing that comparison is a huge compliment. I’ll be sure to share my new material right here once it’s ready.

That's great to hear. I lived through the mid-late 2000s on a diet of Ninja Tune and Bill Laswell, and it's nice to see someone familiar with either of them. Also, I assume you know about Wagon Christ's alternative identity, which was to spur Aphex Twin to switch from ambient to drill'n'bass of 'Richard D. James Album'.
