Celebrate holidays. Cool, it's halloween, eh I'll eat a couple pieces of candy. Cool, it's christmas, let me chug down at least some egg nog. I just can't get into the habit of decorating because to me, it's just more work.

You can just...not?

I love Halloween so I decorate, but we're not religious so we don't celebrate most holidays. I guess you could say I don't do it because I'm tired? Tired of doing rituals I don't enjoy that have no meaning to us.

We have our own traditions that we look forward to, so it's not a life without joy and wonder. It just looks different!

    This, and we did it a lot when we had kids at home, decorating for every holidays even if we are not religious. Now that our chlidren are adult 25yo+ and all work and have their family/appartment/life/etc we just don't decorate anymore. For christmas we make a simple small tree and that's it.
