I have always done some kind of work out in my life, however, as of the last two years i’ve stopped caring about it and had no interest in it. I did swimming from 4 to 14 years old, and from 14 to 16 i went to the gym pretty constantly, but now as an 18 year old i don’t do anything. I’ve found myself missing swimming, but mostly just giving up on the gym because i stopped finding enjoyment in it. However i am well aware that i should probably do something, it’s just very hard to want to do it in the first place. I don’t really care about being strong or handsome, but i’ve always been overweight since i was a little kid and even tho i’m on a diet, i struggle with losing weight and the advice is always “go to the gym”. How do YOU manage to find motivation to work out?

I don't like sport but do like physical exercise and dance.

Motivation is fleeting, willpower is weak. Habit is what you need. Make yourself exercise for 6 weeks. Just commit to 6 weeks and make it happen. Something every day, whatever deal you make with yourself, keep it.

After 6 weeks, two things happen. One, you have built a habit. Two, you will now feel so much better on days you work out & that provides some built in motivation.

6 weeks to build a habit, you can do it!
