Yeah, I was born the same year as the Summer of Love. My parents weren't hippies. They were Brad and Janet.

Actually my dad was one of the black ties in Apollo 13 except he was on the Apollo 12 team.

And yeah, he grew up to be a Reagan Republican. Now he's staunch MAGA and a FOX News devotee.

But the hippies were the ones who warned us of the rising police state while stoned out of their ears. I knew some of them. And yes, they weren't purely liberal or Democrat either, but both parties were a bit more intermixed at the time.
