The other commenter was responding to your post with their own relevant experience- wouldn’t it have been a better interaction to tell them that this post is a little shorter than is standard based on r/teachers and ask them if, in their 25 years of teaching, they had noticed things getting worse or could point to a specific turning point? Failing that, you could have explained what your personal experience is, and then asked how they managed 25 years.

Everyone gets overwhelmed and short sometimes and I’m not trying to be your grandma, but rudeness begets rudeness.
