I worked in a place where you had to have parent permission to fail students.
Also, “base-50” grading - all work, whether turned in or not, earns a 50.
Online school is really a ticking time bomb though. Even before AI, it was basically kids spending an afternoon googling crap and getting credit for a full semester of high school.
