I listed problems and said they have easy solutions. A small tax did not solve the housing crisis. It barely made a dent. We need to end foreign investment in property so the people living here can have houses. We need to tax second homes, short stay accommodation (Airbnb), and vacant houses until it is no longer profitable. It can be profitable again when people have homes. We need stronger rental protections so a large portion of the population aren't just funneling money to the wealthy, and living at the whim of unqualified property managers. Developers need to be forced to stop bottlenecking supply to keep profits up. Among many other things. There are employed homeless people. That's insane to me.

The environment is being destroyed by mining companies, with protections being weakened/climate goals ignored. And none of them are even being taxed properly so the billionaires are just robbing the country of resources, making it unlivable, and making bank off of it simultaneously. More and more protected habitats are being released to the companies to be stripped. Including a gas company being allowed to strip a massive swathe of federally owned koala habitats recently, for example. And it's getting worse with data centres being allowed to develop now too.

Again, my mention of albos tone deaf mansion purchase during a housing crisis and milqeutoast policies is to point out that he doesn't give a fuck. Albo has done fuckall, and anything he has done is barely a half measure.

I have always voted left, labor is centre right. But by all means, continue to cherry pick/strawman bits of my comment and act like you don't understand. I won't bother replying anymore, I've explained myself well enough to anyone else reading this.
