Some of the worst LLM takes I've seen in a while. I've never thought FLOSS would be taken over by proprietary torment nexuses so fast.

The discussion will probably continue behind closed doors, so the public has no way of knowing who says what and corporations have their way easier.

And someone got exposed for being a Nazi.

I don’t get the fuss here. The KDE LLM policy is essentially the same as the Linux kernel. Aka human driven, human responsible, LLM assisted coding.

Unless you are running KDE on NetBSD you where already using LLM assisted code.

    Have you seen the quality of the code in the kernel? I am no c fan but the bar and standards are incredibly high.

    The kernel is certainly LLM assisted but I don’t think any honest dev can look at say the recent LLM assisted code and call it slop. If anything the quality of Linux code has gotten higher over the past decade.

    I am not a fan of vibe coded slop and I don’t think it’s fair to call the kernel slop.
