What’s fuelling the rise of the far right? (sh.itjust.works)

It’s been reported that in the German elections, a far right party has made ‘significant gains’.

In the UK (at least before the scandals) Reform UK seems to have had a significant boost and has even surpassed the right-wing Conservative Party in some polls/predictions.

Even France, one or two years ago, was threatened with a far-right government due to the French far right party gaining a lot of support.

It feels like in the last few years, the far-right has exceeded itself and had a surge in popularity. Is this the case? And if so, wtf is fuelling it?

“People are genuinely good and better than the past”

The people who you tell that to, whose material conditions would strongly disagree, those are the people turning to right wing populism.

Here at America, the bottom 50% of this country has been completely destroyed and betrayed. Yet the fucking liberals keep telling us that things have never been better. So telling people things I’ve never been better for 10 years while making them materially worse…. That’s where the fucking violent populism comes from.

You can do you part by never manufacturing consent for a political system that has failed over 100 million individuals

    Theyre not naturally creating this populism but being taken advantage off by bad actors.

    The conditions we’ve cooked into our system are causing populism. The conditions are born of government policy. What’s causing populism over in my house is having to choose between food and healthcare.
