In this case it's a leftist. Progressive probably still applies. The "centre-left but still in favour of neoliberal economics" parties aren't good enough any more, we need actual market controls, outright war on corporations/oligarchs and to establish solid socialist institutions to provide a good life instead of throwing people to the market wolves.
