I think there is anti-imperialist sentiment, and even genuinely socialist sentiment for sure. I guess I'm being literal in that i dont think Americans in general have the appetite for the kind of violence that comes with a literal revolution. Curious if it is more than a terminology difference between you and I, though.
My vibe is that historically socialist revolutions have happened at the imperial fringe among populations living under brutal conditions. The imperial core will have its own path, but getting the empire to be even somewhat less hungry to genocide the global south will dramatically change the conditions for our comrades in those countries.
