If there is a tipping point where people will start considering the Opel Rocks we sure haven't hit it yet. Statistically it does like 70% of what people use a car for, more like 100% of what people use a second car for. It's not taxed regularly, there's not even inspections, the insurance is a pittance. And that's still a car by all means! But no, all the conversation is about the small electric car-cars that do ~120kph and go on the highway. Because what if includes needing to spend 600€ a year just so you don't have to rent a car one time.

Hell, go more adventourous, funky chinese EVs of that class run about 4000€ for a cabin'd three wheeler cargo trike or ~6000€ for a minitruck, both of which can legally seat two and fit an euro pallete in the back. Again, considering the statistics, you get like double the actual utility out of this compared to the new E-Twingo (and I say this finding that thing sympathetic).

None of this is being discussed. Driving stone faced into my own bankruptcy because I refuse to consider a vehicle that's not legally classified as car.
