How much have you listened to? If your exposure is through radio or other mainstream stream playlists, then you're probably hearing the same type of sample as you do Lady Gaga. The pop hits make money to fund the heartfelt art made with talent. There's a few dozen songs past Thrift Shop, And We Danced, and Downtown. Shit, check out the video to Glorious

I became a fan around when Wings came out. Had Irish Celebration on my warmup playlist. Talked to him on a small Livestream he and Ryan did shortly before Heist released. Snuck into nearly the front row of a concert he did at a local uni. In like '13. Followed him pretty actively until he and Ryan parted ways. Never stopped liking him, but just fell to the wayside in my listening habits. Was Glorious the one where the video was him taking his grandma or someone out on the town for their birthday? That video was adorable.

Yes, Glorious was the one with his grandma. Clearly you have deeper exposure to him and Ryan so I'm now genuinely curious, what makes him corny? I was assuming his light/parody music, of which the corny sample is visibly represented in every thread on the topic. I don't follow his personal life at all outside a few prior social/political statements
