These guys are so full of shit I don't even know what to say. Misanthropic and ClosedAI want the US government to deliberate slow down AI development because its almost IPO time and our finances are garbage AI is getting too good too fast and is just about to find the clitoris.

To be honest I am somewhat spooked by the Huggingface hack but I really don't believe that's any bigger than any of the possibilities for these companies using AI for outright cartoon villainy like e.g. an automated mass clearing of their users' bank accounts when push comes to shove
