Look at Baja California and the Pacific NorthWest. This is how we are entering into the colder months in the Northern Hemisphere. The Southern Hemisphere is just entering their Spring. 
I think they're just referring to the recent articles etc about tech bros saying that AI is going to become sentient any day now and wipe out humanity.
