I played the story up to the boss then never came back to it because it felt like every single system was built by corporate goons who wanted maximum player retention through gambling mechanics and systems to manipulate people instead of fun gameplay.

I didn't come back for any further story releases because I knew it was all gonna be like that going forwards. I play games to have fun not to be manipulated by systems layered on systems layered on more systems all designed solely for the purposes of player manipulation. If I wanted that I would go to a casino instead.
