It is easy to forget the indirect causes of him becoming president (twice), such as a failing opposition and the two-party system, corruption (as in large companies can buy policies), biased media, ever increasing polarisation, an economic system that puts the interest of the haves against the interests of the have-nots. I think most people here understand the situation in the US is not that of one evil mastermind who bedazzled everyone, but sometimes I do get the feeling people choose to take the easy way and consider his voting based stupid, self-centered or naive without consideration for the external circumstances. Not saying the voters aren't to blame, but there is a lot more at play than a little bit of propaganda by the Republican Party.

I'm kinda surprised at how few upvotes this comment has gotten, though I probably shouldn't be. I've hated Trump since before he was kissing the Clinton's asses. Too few people are willing to examine the idea of how shitty the Democrat corporatist whores had/have to be for us to end up with such a shit-stain as president.

Obama fucking ran on Med-4-All, then sold us (those who voted for him) down the river on day one. Every time I see the clip of him pretending to sip that glass of water in Flint while saying "this isn't a stunt" makes me want to punch him in his lying mouth. It puts me in mind of Malcolm X's fox and wolf analogy.
