    My favorite part is how when conservatives get called out on this, their response is always the same: "yeah the image/video is fake but this sort of thing really happens!!!" If it actually happened, then they wouldn't have to generate fake examples of it.

    They did not respect, or care about, the actual facts of the matter, except to the extent that they viewed such facts with hostility.
