What sort of problems and in what way are you wanting to identify them?

    There is no universal problem-solving technique.

    Is it a problem with a machine, a person, a system made of several or both? Or is it a problem with one's self?

    Is it a positive problem? Something happening too much?
    Is it a negative problem? Something not happening enough?

    The closest you can get to universal advice is: Try something different, see how that changes things, then repeat. But even that might be a bad idea in a few situations.

    It’s not very meaningful as a general question. To answer it, I could just say “yes“. What I mean is it would be very different if you mean a medical problem, an interpersonal conflict, a personal quandary, a psychological problem, difficulty achieving something you want, an academic problem…
