    Probably yes. The press statement on the Juul website says that the age verification feature is "optional". Maybe it's intended to be a parent safety feature so your kids don't steal your Juul. I'm not sure.

    The Juul press statement also says that 'Juul2' is intended to be a low-nicotine device to help people quit cigarettes.

    Why not just a fingerprint lock? We made functional, tiny versions of those decades ago. It would be seamless and probably more secure. Seems odd to prefer this over that if it's just about stopping your kids.

    EDIT: Wait, an app can steal and sell your phone details, and force you to sign up while serving you ads, of course an app is preferable, never mind. I forgot the system we live in.
