That US is not currently implementing anti-immigration policies? Because they clearly do. And it's a right wing party that's doing it. And it's affecting the economy negatively. So what you're describing (corporations influencing right wing parties and blocking anti-immigration policies) is not happening in US. And EU is less controlled by corporations than US.
