It didn't go haywire. At all. It did exactly what it was supposed to do, which is parrot what the applicant said, after LLM grammar collection, to make sure the bot heard it right. The fact that these bots are bonkers dumb is a fact, but it didn't "go haywire".

I'm still in utter shock that companies use this shit. Human resources, ffs. Human.

Human Resources, as in you. You are the resource.

thank you. I read the thread and watched the video expecting some bonkers ramblings from an LLM that had somehow been jailbroken or something.

What I actually watched is the system working as designed (more or less) and basically wasted 30s of my life watching the modern equivalent of some rando entering garbage answers into a company's digital resume entry form.

I'm as sceptical of LLMs as the next man, but honestly this creator isn't exactly doing their narrative any favours.

AI resources can have their word. Let's build out a storage closet into a tiny office, stick the server with all the locally hosted models on there, give it a separate internet access for the cloud-hosted ones and let them sit in there and have all the words they want with their beloved text generstors. They know a lot or words. All the destroyed books have to have gone somewhere, after all.

We don't put oil in charge of oil resources, we don't put gold in charge of gold resources, we don't put water in charge of water resources, so why would humans be in charge of human resources?
