One Trump voter issued a tear-filled video regretting his decision to vote for the president after his brother, who served with U.S. special forces, died while in Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In a video posted to social media, Naseer Paktyawal tearfully recalled his brother's service to the country and the moment that ICE "kidnapped" him in front of his son, Imrin. ABC News initially posted the video.

...

"I saw two cars unmarked. Seven, eight people jump out of those cars," Paktyawal said. "One on the driver's side, one on the back of his car, and grabbed him from his seat and put a handcuff on him."

Mohammad Nazeer Paktyawal's son, Imrin, was also featured in the video and recalled witnessing his father's arrest. "I was standing there, and then they came and just take him," the boy said.

Imrin added that he was "standing there" as the agents hauled his father away. "I was like, just don't take him, please," Imrin recalled.

According to Paktyawal, he later received a call from an ICE facility. "I thought they were going to release him back," Imrin said.

"He said, 'Are you, Naseer?' That's me," Paktyawal said. "Your brother Mohamed Nasir Paktyawal passed away this morning and his body is laying down in a parking lot in the hospital."

...

"My first vote was for this president, and I regret it, and I'm gonna regret it for the rest of my life," he added. "Because of me, because of my voting, He got arrested, and he lost his life. And I'm never going to forgive myself for that."

CNN reported that he was taken by ICE agents outside of his Dallas apartment and died less than a day after being in ICE custody. His family said that Mohammad had no known health conditions and had been seeking asylum in the U.S. since his arrival in 2021.

Demonizing voters for what they voted for based on lies and targeted ads is what makes them stick to this very devil. Y'all have to welcome people if you want change.

Here is the thing. We all got fed the lies the propaganda.

    And we made a choice.

Vote to be openly racist and bigoted and side with a psychopath.

    Or not.

No amount of fucking propaganda should EVER overturn that if you have two functioning brain cells.

Fuck all triple Trumpers and the horse they rode in on.

I'm from the Midwest. Rural areas

People seemed to think that because he was rich, it must mean he's smart and God loves him. Why else would he be rich ?

And many told me they genuinely believed we needed a smart rich business man to get this country back on track of being rich. So they could be richer.

It's this shallow idea that if someone is rich. They must deserve it. And know what they are going. And will make the rest of us rich if we just follow along.

That and they didn't like that they couldn't say what they wanted in the work place or in public about their bigoted views. They felt that just wasn't fair.

They should be able to say sexist and racist things because everyone knows it's all true.

    (Their opinions not mine).

This information was from people planning to vote from him before the election. I didn't care to talk to anyone about it afterwards.

They voted for someone because they liked how he bullied leftists and liberals.

Political Leaders aren’t just strong men or tacticians or business men.

They are also role models, and diplomats.

Do bullies make good role models? Do bullies make good diplomats?

Maybe vote to help people instead of voting to hurt people, and then you won’t be surprised by the guy you voted for turning out to be an asshole.

No, those people exposed their true natures, and now we KNOW they are corrupt, treasonous, racist, pedophiles. If they get their way, they will kill millions of us with glee. I don't see why we should welcome sick, evil people like that into our tent, knowing they'll turn on us first chance they get.

Nope, they need to be examples of what happens to you when you try to destroy our country.

Nope. They were/are willfully ignorant. They've been told time and time again that they were being fooled/taken advantage of, but most of them don't care. This is exactly what they want. I have 0 sympathy or empathy for people who voted for Trump three fucking times. They aren't fooled at that point. They welcome fascism. Fuck 'em.

Nope. Anyone dumb enough to fall for MAGA's blatant, obvious lies and immorality deserves their consequences, full stop. That ship sailed a long, long time ago.

None of this "can't we all just get along" horseshit. Fuck that. MAGA can and should be shamed back into the shadows where they belong.

Real world means real people. Real people includes tons of people who have made mistakes and have regrets. You guys are the political equivalent of 19 year olds who are certain they are right and don't know what its like to either make a big mistake or have family make mistakes and try and move past it.

Should we just execute all current and former trump supporters in the street? They aren't just going to dissappear if trump leaves office. We need a pathway to citizenship for immigrants, and a pathway to redemption for idiots.

In college I was a 9/11 conspiracy believer. Thought the implications of Loose Change were all true. Explosive charges put in the building beforehand, etc. Even wrote articles about it in the school paper.

I also took a philosophy course on critical thinking.

Not long after, I saw the cracks in the theories and now know better.

I made mistakes and had regret and now I'm a lot older and wiser.

So I know intimately what it's like to get sucked into a belief emotionally as opposed to factually.

I say that so I can wholeheartedly say to you, fuck that. MAGA is utter poison. The literal worst that humanity has on offer. The only MAGA I'll tolerate in my life is a MAGA that spends the rest of their lives dedicated to allyship for gay/trans people, fighting climate change, and so on. That's for even a chance at redemption.

Honestly....fuck anyone who can see how things have gone in the last 10 years and think it's the fucking left that must be tolerant.

    Fuuuuuuuck that.

Disapointing to see a simple truth downvoted.

A certain % of people are vulnerable to the grift of fascism. Scorning them is like laughing at someone who lost their retirement funds to a crypto-scam. Those of us lucky enough to be able to see it for what it is should welcome all the victims of fascism.

Trump-voting victims of trump and their stories are powerful weapons we can use against this regime and its wealthy collaborators.

Except we all warned them it was a scam. Showed them how the scam worked, and showed them the other people the scam had tricked. And they STILL voted for the scam. Zero sympathy for this idiot. (Do feel bad for his dead brother, tho.)

Except we all warned them it was a scam

I wish it worked that way, but that's just not how the human organism is. Mostly we don't accept information coming from outside our identity group, especially when it undermines our worldview. Almost everyone is like that.

Showing people that they could be accepted by a different identity group is a vital precursor to them changing how they see themselves. Shedding the old identity is necessary before a change of beliefs and ideas about the world.

If you show people they have no chance for community outside of trump supporters, they'll continue to support fascism. Show them there is an out, and our numbers will swell as the reality of fascism undermines the lies their community believes.
