You can buy a stamp and scan it. Did everyone forget about scanners?

    You can also photoshop the thin line out, or ask an AI to remove it.

    The whooping 160 thousand dollars in counterfeit stamps leading to a change in how the entire USPS marketing material reads like a plain joke.

    I mean... 160 THOUSAND dollars in not-valid "currency"! Can the US economy ever recover from this?

    Which will likely leave metadata which will tell the post office exactly where the original stamp was sold.

    The cross isn't needed anymore because each stamp has a unique ID printed on it.
