Anyone else skeptical of this news story? Before people say "you can drown in an inch of water!" yeah, if you're unconscious, but this story's really pushing believability. (thelemmy.club)

The news story is from 3 days ago. Also canals in the UK don’t have strong currents and the max depth where he drowned was only 5 foot in the middle, even shallower near the sides. Nearly all canals in the UK are only about 1 metre deep in the middle. Look it up and look up photos of drained canals in the UK if you don’t believe me lol

The same witnesses who ever so conveniently didn't say why the man didn't stand up, even though they were watching him? Not all news stories are real, and for all we know, these witnesses were all made up.

    No, you’d rather believe a story with numerous plausible explanations is some conspiracy. A conspiracy of fucking canals of all things. I doubt you leave the house much if your crusade against UK canals is any indication, but next time you go to a public pool, read what the warning signs say not to do near the shallow end. Report back.

    At 5 foot you won't hit your head on the bottom which is mud anyway. These news articles certainly imply that they just forgot how to stand.

    So it’s deep enough to not hit your head if you fall/jump in but not deep enough to drown? That’s awfully convenient and specific. A thin layer of mud will also do little to soften a blow when below is concrete. You’re certain they landed in the centre and not the, as you state, shallower sides? I also notice you never link articles when you go on these very productive posting sprees. Wonder why that is?
