The news story is from 3 days ago. Also canals in the UK don’t have strong currents and the max depth where he drowned was only 5 foot in the middle, even shallower near the sides. Nearly all canals in the UK are only about 1 metre deep in the middle. Look it up and look up photos of drained canals in the UK if you don’t believe me lol

So it’s deep enough to not hit your head if you fall/jump in but not deep enough to drown? That’s awfully convenient and specific. A thin layer of mud will also do little to soften a blow when below is concrete. You’re certain they landed in the centre and not the, as you state, shallower sides? I also notice you never link articles when you go on these very productive posting sprees. Wonder why that is?
