Congress passed a symbolic resolution on Tuesday to condemn socialism — a move that saw eight Democrats cross the aisle to back the GOP on the measure.
The vote, which has no actual effect on public policy, was swiftly mocked by observers on social media.
"Voting to condemn an economic system that doesn’t exist in our country, to protect the one which we live under that exploits the working class to benefit the obscenely wealthy," wrote Melanie D'Arrigo, executive director of Campaign for New York Health. "This was Congress’ priority as 60% of Americans struggle to afford food, housing and healthcare. Embarrassing."
You got it backwards. The Dems are losing because they support the status quo, not progressive policies like the growing number of millennial and Z voters want. They’re the ones falling further behind because of this free-market fascist kleptocracy crap. You have Dems engaging in insider trading, supporting Israel, obeying corporate masters, breaking ranks and siding with the GOP/oligarchs… establishment Dems progressively look more and more like the GOP as time passes.
