People without college degrees voted disproportionately for Trump (men and women alike). Even then, the state you're in and your ethnic/religious persuasion was a stronger casual factor. Trump lost in a landslide with poor black and east-asian men, for instance. And he lost on the margin among poor men in the northeast and west coast. Trump actually won with a majority of white women, against Hillary, Biden, and Kamala. This comic neatly illustrates why. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [+] Redditmodstouchgrass@lemmy.zip -6 points 1 day ago (2 children) Gee, I wonder if there's a correlation between not being educated and being poor... permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] Catoblepas@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 1 day ago (1 child) Is ‘poor people are poor because they’re stupid’ really the message you want to put out? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Redditmodstouchgrass@lemmy.zip -5 points 1 day ago (1 child) You know, it would be really nice if people would think before they post a stupid comment.
