There are videos of huge trucks dumping chickens in a landfill in Ohio. Happened june 18th. Some of the chickens were still alive.

Wasn't reported on much in mainstream media.

"The ODA also stated that these birds in particular did not have any diseases. Instead, they were at the end of their egg-laying cycle, writing: “It is a standard practice in the poultry industry to euthanize a flock when laying hens reach the end of their productive life cycle.”"

That's b.s. Such birds are turned into food for humans or animals.

Is bird flu back?

Report says they are being investigated for not euthanizing animals before dumping.

Here is another video source.

Likely male egg laying chickens. Egg laying chickens, and meat chickens are barely related to each other

No, those are culled as soon as they hatch. These were old hens.

Yup. Male egg layers (for lack of a better way of wording it) are killed basically as soon as they hatch. They're sexed, and the male ones go into grinder called a macerator (ALIVE!) and turned into a paste. The females will often end up going into a cage with 3-4 other chooks, and they will go on to live in misery for 3-4 years (when, naturally, they could live for 10-15 years), after which they're killed because their "usefulness" has been expended. The animal agriculture industry is fucking atrocious.
