Is it really a plunge in imports or are the packages routed to european warehouses so that the small parcel fee is circumvented?

It's that. Which isn't a negative tbh. Shipping in bulk and distributing locally is more efficient regardless of prices. With local distro, inspections and regulation become possible by holding the distributor accountable. It becones possible, not certain. What won't change in a significant manner is the amount of product sold cause the deminimis loophole isn't why Chinese product prices are low.

The problem is the unsold stock is then destroyed because the seller must pay for storage, and returning it is not an option. I wonder how many % of the cellphone covers are actually sold, and how much are going from the factory to the landfill without ever being used.
