A tough situation. Can't the EU provide money to hire mercenaries?

    They would run out of available qualified mercenaries very quickly as there are not that many.

    So it will just be foreign volunteers that they will need to train.

    What they really need is European expeditionary forces consisting of air defence assets and air power, so their can gain air superiority over the front-lines.

    If Russia can invite North Korea to operate within the borders of Russia, why can't Ukraine invite Polish air defence units to do the same?

    This the last question: not because your logic is wrong, but because Russia will interpret that as us entering the war and BC they define that as the red line. However they have defined other thongs as red lines before. Its all due to how much power the EU chooses to give to Putin.

    Just a maybe crazy idea: There are millions of young men trying to get into the EU to earn a better living there. They are willing to risk their lives by crossing oceans in not-seaworthy ships. Maybe offer some of them a way to EU citizenship through serving in a EU army?
