It really did seem like Trump would be the "end US empire" candidate back when he got elected but I don't think anyone could've guessed how thoroughly he'd do it.
Not like the empire wasn't already sunsetting, but, you know, just never rotating your naval deployments and using chatgpt to strategize is a lot of acceleration to say the least.
