Hungary has described Russia as a "threat to Europe and the global order" in guidelines for its delegation attending the UN General Assembly next month, Der Spiegel reported on Aug. 26.

The move marks a dramatic shift in Hungary's stance since Prime Minister Peter Magyar defeated the Russia-friendly Viktor Orban in elections earlier this year.

"Hungary condemns Russian military aggression and fully supports Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders," the document states.

"Russia's behavior poses a threat to Hungary, Europe, and the global order," it adds.

Let's just follow your logic for a moment. The USA can not even keep a straight open against a non existing Navy. Why does Russia not defeating Ukraine = weak but the USA is, despite this, such a threat? Both can not be true at the same time, since the same logic applies?

Fair enough. Your logic assumes that Russia "would if they could" so they can't. Like kidnapping the head of state of Venezuela to steal their oil. Or murdering the religious head of state of Iran and start a war that is going to lead to a oil shock that will destroy so many livelihoods sooner or later. I'm not sure about the capabilities of Russia in this regard.

So can the US conquer a country that is backed by Russia or China with massive logistic, intelligence and weapon support? No. But what they can do is continue to destabilized, coup and attack weaker countries. Like they have done since forever.

And they do this because they still see themselves as the only Hegemon on earth, the supreme indispensable nation. This continued to happen under Bush, Clinton, Bush Jr, Obama, Trump, Biden. This makes them a worse threat that Russia.

But we do know they have been relatively constrained and engaged in a "tit for tat" strategy in the escalations in Ukraine. They are overall rational actors. Like they tell Georgia to stay neutral and if they try to join Nato and put weapons on their doorstep they attack. Predictable, rational. Like the US would do if Canada or Mexico, tired of the repeated threats by Trump would ally with China and start building a Chinese military base 400 miles from Washington. Other than that, Russia has made no moves to invade European countries, instead relying on trade. They even agreed to let Ukraine join the EU as long as they stay neutral.

So the question is what they DO with the power they do have. Russia has supported various factions across the cause that opposed US imperialism obviously.

The other thing is the use of nuclear weapons. Even goddamn Marjorie Taylor Greene is worried about Trump using Nukes because the US foreign policy is now mostly dependent on the needs of the narcissistic personality of Trump. It's one of the great taboos that must be awfully tantalizing to Trump. Besides that, you could say that the greatest threat is now Nato that continues the US hegemonic policy despite Trump. It's really madness.

The other Threat do Europe specifically is that he normalized fascism and the current EU leaders bend over backwards to say "yes daddy" for Nato 3.0 and spending 5% of GDP into a privatized military industrial complex that will end up in the hands of US plutocrats.

Make a peace treaty with Russia and Russia treat goes back to their annoying interference in social media that we could fix by mandating to have moderators. Apparently Martin Armstrong is the guy who actually worked on the draft. If the UK and EU continues to escalate, Putin might be forced to escalate because he is facing pressure from hardliners too.

What is important to understand is that at the current moment neither the US or the EU can build enough weapons (or afford to buy them from the private military industrial complex in the future) enough counter measures to prevent air strikes like we've seen from Iran. Not a single EU country can currently prevent a Russian strike on their energy infrastructure, and imagine that in the climate changed fueled extra cold winter with too little energy.

Fertilizer is running low and has tripled in price. Russia has stopped exporting diesel. Europe can afford to import food - but many people in the world are going to starve in the coming years because of this. When you hear about these famines, I want you to remember: Every bite you eat, you take out of the mouths of those less affluent. And all this was preventable if the US hadn't decided to expand Nato eastwards in 2008.

Putin forced to escalate. Holy fucking shit, do you hear yourself talking? They started the war. They continue it. They are the ones that can stop it at ANY moment they want to! Putin is forced to do Jack shit, all he wants is to go down in history like Alexander the Great etc. aka pure imperialism with 0 regards to peoples lives.
