My area has two-party consent laws, so recording someone, whether audio or video, without their explicit consent is against the law. Children are often not held to the fullest extent of the law, and if they cannot be held responsible, then they shouldn't have access to such devices until they can be. I'm not naive to think that these devices will just go away or that the genie can go back into the bottle. But that is where regulation must act to protect people's privacy rights. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [+] jumping_redditor@sh.itjust.works -6 points 2 weeks ago (1 child) what ia the difference between this and a phone taped inside of a shirt? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago perhaps it's time to jump back to reddit. they'll tolerate your feigned stupidity over there. permalink fedilink source parent [–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago creep detected permalink fedilink source parent
