I get that it's just a dumb talking point with no substance to begin with, but this whole idea of attributing a body count to an ideology falls apart when you think about it for more than about eight seconds. if you want to attribute them to a person (say, reagan) or policies (say, one child) those are at least more or less things you can cite ranges for based on policies enacted.
