And the actual need for the bridge is marginal. I't useful, but hardly ever busy. For non-hazardous, normal sized loads, there is a 4 bore super tunnel, for smaller loads there's a two-bore tunel, Hazardous and oversized loads are hit hardest, but they just go the other way around the beltway. Coming south from 95 north of Baltimore to 95 south of Baltimore was a 40:60 shot between bridge and west beltway, longer but not unreasonable.
Shipping terminals in Dundalk used it as a primary exit to head south. Sparrows point isn't the production powerhouse it once was. They're going to drag their feet.
