MLs are not communists. They never actually worked towards it and there are some who don't even define it as a stateless, classless, egalitarian society. So MLs shouldn't be called communists in the first place. Calling hating MLs anticommunism will probably expose you as either a tankie or a right winger, both of which aren't welcome here.

On near-east topics: Nakba is an established fact. The (ongoing) Palestinian genocide is a fact. Israel commits crimes against Palestinians. No anti-Arab (such as Palestinians and Druze) sentiments allowed (it falls under racism anyways). In regards to Israel, do not dehumanize civilians. Saying shit like "there are no civilians in Israel/Palestine" will get you permabanned.

You come onto an anti-tankie comm to complain about it being anti-tankie and say "what about the democrats?". Are you fucking serious?
I'd argue that tankies are doing a bangup job of making Lemmy look unappealing. And in my country at least half of the parties (supposedly) left of the "social democrats" (neoliberals) are tankies, which is actually a huge problem for recruiting new voters for parties that want more worker's rights, and some of these tankie parties are also literally voting with the extreme right.

German democracy has a lot of niche systems and ways of operating. I'm not talking about Germany but even there the AfD result is overwhelming of greater risk than tankies. So you're being quite ridiculous.

I really dislike memes as a starting point for any political discussion, for this reason.
When no small number of Tankies want to trap us in the car for the sake of spurring on class consciousness and a crisis of capitalism, then yeah, that kind of a squeaky door could be a legitimate problem too. And those who aren't accelerationists are either too quiet with their support or, on the other hand, hardly do anything but complain about everything as though it's the worst possible thing ever, which reduces voter engagement because it's hard to be excited to actually go out and vote when you have to choose between the lesser of two genocide-level evils.
"Tankies are attacking me!" is the Reddit version of "Muslims keep existing and that's scary!" in mainstream press.
